Collect client intake forms before they arrive
“Clients show up, spend 15 minutes filling out paper clipboards in the waiting room, and it throws off the whole schedule.”
Operations
“Consent forms get signed on a clipboard in the treatment room, which eats time and leaves paper we have to store.”
Send the consent form for electronic signature when the appointment is booked, rather than handing over a clipboard on arrival. A form signed in advance removes the wait at the start of the visit, produces a timestamped record that is far easier to store and retrieve than paper, and stops appointments running late because someone is still reading page two.
How we estimated that: Assumes 15 appointments a week and 12 minutes each of form handling, printing and filing. This is a model, not a measurement — check it against your own numbers, because if the assumption does not match your business the figure will not either.
We are not paid by any tool listed here. If a cheaper or better option exists, that's what you'll see.
Pricing above was checked between 2026-08-01 and 2026-08-02. 1 of these 4 entries is still unverified. Vendors change their terms without notice, and free tiers do get withdrawn. We take no money from any vendor listed here. If something on this page is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
Clinical and booking systems increasingly include signature capture. Adding a second tool splits your records across two places, which is worse than slightly clunkier signing.
For most consent this is fine, but requirements vary by jurisdiction and by procedure. Confirm before you switch — this one is worth asking about rather than assuming.
Not the night before. People deal with it when they are thinking about the appointment, which is the moment they booked.
Twenty-four hours before. One reminder, not three.
Some people will not sign on a phone. A clipboard in reserve is not a failure of the system.
Signed health forms carry real handling obligations. Know where they live before you start collecting them.
